To: Tom Homan Tom & Dougal: Many thanks the tires arrived here in good order on Monday, I picked them up and had them installed them on Tuesday and put 150 kilometres on them that evening. They look the part but, more importantly, they have transformed the ride and handling of the car. One of these days, I'll order a set for my Borrani wheels! hello lads at Longstone, thanks for your excellent service on Wednesday. Got home via Bingham to Melbourne with very few gear changes and therefore not much clutch fluid consumed. Manouvering into my garage was tough without clutch control but I avoided hitting anything. Stripped slave cylinder on Thursday, replacement delivered Friday and all back in good shape. The Michelins have not been pushed for grip yet but immediately impressed with lack of noise - good even on the concrete paving A46 and not as much thump over catseyes, speed bumps etc as the Vredestein. Comfort is very acceptable even at higher pressures recommended by Jaguar for "sustained high speed". Also parking speed steering loads are lighter. Overall it seems to behave much like a crossply in those areas and likely to please the touring user despite the racing/course tag. Thanks for the tea and brake fluid.

Tom, This is just a short note to say thanks for fitting the 4 new Firestone tyres (plus new tubes) yesterday. Thanks also for fitting the best old part worn Avon tyre onto the spare. I have now put the wheels back on my 1938 Alvis 12/70 Special and they look just right. I trust they will feel the same when I take the car out for a run. When I arrived and saw you all busy fitting tyres by hand for a 1904 Mercedes, I thought I would be in for a long wait but was pleasantly surprised when Adam appeared and got on with my job straight away. Once again, many thanks to all at Longstone Tyres for your excellent service.

Hello Tom- The Michelins arrived today. I'm amazed at how quickly they got here. Many thanks for the excellent service! I expect that my BMW will feel like a new car, once I get them mounted. A friend of mine here in Longmont has several BMWs (one of which I sold to him) and I was telling him this past weekend about ordering from you. He has expressed interest in getting at least one set, maybe two, of the same Michelin XAS tires, so don't be too surprised if you get another order from Longmont.
